The blackboard&ski chalet is perfectly located in Les Gets’s exclusive Route des Ys area high above the centre of Les Gets, between Les Gets and Morzine.
Direct boarding and ski access into Morzine is achieved all season long from the Pleney blue run piste located behind the chalet. For those seeking some exercise before starting your day, the piste is a short 10 minute walk from the front door, for those not as energetic the Funky Black Landrover Defenders will take and collect you each day, maximising your time on the slopes. Snow permitting you can board and ski back to the chalet at the end of the day.

‘Les Gets’
Les Gets is a real ‘Chill’ place to relax and a sports enthusiasts paradise both in winter and summer, it recently hosted the World Downhill VTT mountain bike championships, with over 100,000 people attending and every two years the Tour De France, comes through. It is has a constant buzz that just brings you back for more. Uniquely different from Morzine, Les Gets shares all the benefits of its larger neighbour, and being just over one hour from Geneva you arrive in Les Gets before going down to Morzine. Les Gets sits higher than Morzine with beautiful tree lined runs and is a true Alpine village, with direct linked access to the whole Portes du Soleil area. Modern lift systems terminate in the village and are uniquely extensive with two bubble lifts, 6 man chairs and 4 man chairs. Restaurants, bars, shopping and nightlife are all equally available in Les Gets as in Morzine.

Morzine
Morzine is reached in just over one hour from Geneva Airport and is at the centre of the worlds largest ski area the Portes du Soleil. Successfully retaining it’s old world charm of a genuine alpine town whilst mixing a fusion of modern lift systems fashionable shops, bars, quality restaurants and lively nightlife. Morzine has lift linked access to the whole Portes du Soleil area which identifies it as the jewel in the crown of the French Alps. Morzine also hosts night skiing on its main Pleney piste, this occurs each week until 10pm. The large tour operators are not evident in either Les gets or Morzine, solely due to the Morzine people who recognised that the old world charm would be lost if this were allowed to happen. The result for tour operators was Avoriaz .

Avoriaz
Built by the Morzine people, solely to accommodate the winter sports tourist. Avoriaz is now recognised as an independent high altitude village sitting at an attitude of around 2000 meters. With modern apartment blocks Avoriaz is very different from Les Gets and Morzine, but each is directly linked through the extensive lift system.
Avoriaz is a safe resort as it is motor free with horse and slay being the only transport allowed. With the resort designed to ensure every apartment, restaurant and shop is accessible on foot or ski in ski out, getting around is easy. The high altitude ensures boarding and skiing is to be found above the tree line, resulting in a lunar landscape compared with the tree lined runs of Les Gets and Morzine. From Avoriaz you can access the whole of the Portes du Soleil
